North East Beach Paintings

Joannes love of the North East coast stems from her childhood memories of growing up at Berwick upon Tweed and spending days out on one of Northumberland's many fabulous beaches. She spent a lot of summers holidaying on Alnmouth Beach visiting her grandparents who lived in this beautiful Northumberland village.

North East Castles

Bamburgh beach is undoubtedly one of the most iconic beaches on the North East coast. The magnificent castle perches on top of the dunes overlooking the huge expanses of golden sandy beach.

Today Joanne works and lives on the North East coast in the harbour village of Cullercoats. Cullercost Bay provides daily inspiration for her paintings featuring the RNLI Lifeboats Station, piers, cave and clocktower. This painting below shows Cullercoats Bay in all it's glory on Harbour Day. The beach is filled with people, colour and fun with the event raising funds for the Cullercoats RNLI.
